Some insurance companies may require a referral. As a part of the Department of Mental Health,
fees are based on a sliding scale.
 
Services: The clinic was established in 1989 and is active in HD research. Services include neurological evaluations, presymptomatic genetic counseling and testing, psychiatry, family education and counseling, and speech pathology.
 
HD Studies:
Enrolling for HD-MAPS study.
HD Support Group:
HD Test and Clinical Services Center
The HD support group meets quarterly.

Experienced Nursing Home:
There is a 15-bed nursing home unit for individuals with Huntington’s Disease within the Department of Mental Health. Currently it has a waiting list, and is available primarily for South Carolina residents and their relatives. All of the staff has been trained to work with HD persons and receive monthly education updates.
