APA furnishes financial assistance to needy aged, blind, and disabled persons and to help them attain self-support
or self-care.
The CAMA program is a state funded program
designed to help needy Alaskans who have specific illnesses get the medical care they need to manage those illnesses. It is
a program primarily for people age 21 through 64 who do not qualify for Medicaid benefits, have very little income, and have
inadequate or no health insurance.

Senior Assistance Program
you must meet specific Medicaid waiver eligibility guidelines through the Division of Public Assistance
and Level of Care through DSDS. This level of care means the applicant needs the same services that would be provided in an
institution serving people with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, or a nursing home.

offering their services at reduced fees.

Activities of Daily Living
Activities of daily living are a commonly used term in the health
care and professional caregiving world to describe a person's ability to care for him or herself. In a progressive disease,
such as Huntington's, measuring your loved one's Daily Living capabilities on a frequent basis (quarterly, semi-annually or
annually) can provide you and their primary care physician the ability to evaluate the severity of the changes and develop
a plan of care that allows for meeting both the physical and psycho-social needs of the care recipient.

Symptoms
It is extremely important that you are familiar with all the possible
symptoms, which might be affecting the quality of life for the person with HD. The symptoms appearing in this section can
either be related to Juvenile Huntington's Disease, Huntington's Disease in adults, some other condition, or be caused by
a side affect to medication(s). This site is still being updated and developed.
