Both physical and occupational therapy, in conjunction with speech and swallowing therapy by a trained therapist, can be benefical to a child with juvenile Huntington's disease. If possible, when your child is in therapy, videotape the sessions so you can continue the therapy at home with your child. Ask the therapist to demonstrate how you can help your child at home with different exercises.
Please, do NOT start your child on any medication(s) without discussing it with their primary care physician.
